Description

These Stars-and-Stripes Cupcakes are a delightful and festive treat, perfect for celebrating the 4th of July or any patriotic occasion. Bursting with flavor, they feature vibrant red, white, and blue layers topped with creamy frosting.


Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

½ cup milk

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

Red and blue food coloring

Frosting of choice (white buttercream recommended)

Sprinkles (red, white, and blue)


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

2. 2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3. 3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4. 4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

5. 5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

6. 6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

7. 7. Divide the batter into three bowls. Tint one with red food coloring and another with blue food coloring, leaving the third bowl white.

10. 10. Frost the cooled cupcakes with white frosting and top with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
