Description
These Smoked Spare Ribs are tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, making them the ideal centerpiece for your next BBQ. Simple to prepare, they will impress your guests and leave everyone asking for more!
Ingredients
2 racks of spare ribs
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup BBQ sauce (for glazing)
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
2. 2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
3. 3. In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt.
4. 4. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
5. 5. Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 5 hours, or until the meat is tender.
6. 6. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce.
7. 7. Remove from the smoker and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
8. 8. Serve with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, try marinating the ribs overnight. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
