Description

This Red, White and Blueberry Trifle is a festive dessert that layers fresh berries, creamy whipped topping, and cake for a stunning, delicious treat. Perfect for celebrating summer holidays or any special occasion!

Ingredients

– 2 cups strawberries, sliced

– 2 cups blueberries

– 1 cup whipped cream

– 1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes

– 1/2 cup vanilla pudding (optional)

– Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Start by preparing your ingredients: wash the strawberries and blueberries, and slice the strawberries.

2. In a large glass trifle bowl, begin layering by placing a layer of pound cake cubes at the bottom.

3. Add a layer of vanilla pudding (if using) over the cake, followed by a layer of whipped cream.

4. Next, add a layer of sliced strawberries and blueberries.

5. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the trifle bowl, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and a sprinkle of berries on top.

6. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

You can substitute the pound cake with angel food cake or sponge cake. For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
