Pigs in a Quilt are a delightful and easy-to-make snack, perfect for parties or family gatherings. With flaky pastry and savory sausage, they are sure to please everyone!

Ingredients

1 package of puff pastry (thawed)

1 lb sausage links (or cocktail sausages)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: mustard or dipping sauce for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.

3. Cut the pastry into rectangles large enough to wrap around each sausage.

4. Season the sausages with salt and pepper, then place each one on a pastry rectangle.

5. Fold the pastry over the sausage and seal the edges.

6. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

9. Serve warm with mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can sprinkle cheese or herbs inside the pastry before wrapping. These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
