Description
This American Flag Ice Cream Cake is a festive and delicious dessert that captures the spirit of summer and celebrates patriotic occasions. With layers of creamy ice cream and a beautiful flag design, it’s sure to be a hit at any gathering.
Ingredients
– 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
– 1 quart strawberry ice cream
– 1 quart blue raspberry sorbet
– 1 box of graham cracker crusts
– 1 cup whipped cream
– Fresh strawberries, sliced
– Fresh blueberries
– Red food coloring (optional)
– Star-shaped sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
1. 1. In a 9×13 inch pan, layer the graham cracker crust evenly at the bottom.
2. 2. Soften the vanilla ice cream until spreadable, then layer it over the crust. Freeze for 30 minutes.
3. 3. Spread the strawberry ice cream evenly on top of the vanilla layer and freeze for another 30 minutes.
4. 4. Spread the blue raspberry sorbet over the strawberry layer and freeze for at least 2 hours.
5. 5. Once frozen, gently remove from the pan and place on a serving platter.
6. 6. Decorate the top with whipped cream to create stripes and use strawberries and blueberries for the flag design.
7. 7. Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
For a more vibrant flag, add a few drops of red food coloring to the whipped cream. This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the freezer.
