Description

Enjoy the authentic taste of Wendy’s famous chili at home with this quick and easy recipe. This hearty, flavorful dish is perfect for a cozy meal or game day gathering.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

– 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes

– 2 cups beef broth

– 2 tbsp chili powder

– 1 tsp ground cumin

– 1 tsp dried oregano

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

2. 2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.

3. 3. Stir in the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.

4. 4. Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened to your desired consistency.

5. 5. Serve the chili hot, topped with your favorite garnishes like shredded cheese, diced onions, or sour cream.

Notes

For a spicier chili, add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. You can also adjust the seasoning to your taste, adding more salt, pepper, or chili powder as desired.
