Description

Enjoy the sweet and refreshing taste of this traditional Mexican watermelon agua fresca, a perfect thirst-quenching beverage for hot summer days.

Ingredients

– 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon

– 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or to taste)

– 2 cups cold water

– Ice cubes

– Mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

1. 1. In a blender, combine the cubed watermelon, lime juice, and sugar. Blend until smooth.

2. 2. Strain the watermelon mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.

3. 3. Discard the solids and transfer the strained watermelon juice to a pitcher.

4. 4. Stir in the cold water and taste, adjusting sweetness if desired.

5. 5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the watermelon agua fresca over the top.

6. 6. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint.

Notes

For a thicker, creamier texture, use less water. You can also try adding a splash of club soda or sparkling water for some fizz. This recipe can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
