Ingredients
– 6 lemons, juiced
– 1/2 cup dried culinary lavender
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 4 cups water
Instructions
1. – In a medium saucepan, combine the lemon juice, lavender, and sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently, until the sugar has fully dissolved.
2. – Remove from heat and let the lavender steep for 30 minutes.
3. – Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, discarding the lavender.
4. – In a pitcher, combine the lavender-infused syrup with the 4 cups of water and stir to combine.
5. – Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
6. – Serve Violet Lemonade over ice, garnished with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs.
Notes
For a stronger lavender flavor, you can steep the lavender for up to 1 hour. You can also adjust the sugar to taste, adding more or less to suit your preferences. Store any leftover lemonade in the fridge for up to 1 week.
