Description

Indulge in the savory, herb-infused goodness of this Vegetarian Herb Stuffing. Packed with flavor and ready in just 20 minutes, it’s the perfect side dish for any occasion, from cozy weeknight dinners to holiday feasts.

Ingredients

– 8 cups cubed bread (day-old or stale)

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 celery stalks, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped

– 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 1 cup vegetable broth

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, onion, celery, garlic, parsley, thyme, sage, oregano, and black pepper.

3. 3. Pour the vegetable broth and melted butter over the mixture and stir gently until the bread is evenly coated.

4. 4. Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.

5. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

6. 6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a heartier stuffing, add diced sautéed mushrooms or roasted chestnuts. For a richer flavor, substitute the vegetable broth with chicken broth. To make ahead, prepare the stuffing and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
