Description

Indulge in the bold, tangy flavors of buffalo wings with this delightful vegan-friendly recipe for Cauliflower Wings. Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these plant-based bites are a healthier, guilt-free alternative to the traditional buffalo wing.

Ingredients

– 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)

– 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, non-dairy milk, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, and salt until a smooth batter forms.

3. 3. Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss to coat them evenly.

4. 4. Arrange the battered cauliflower florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

5. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the florets halfway, until they are golden brown and crispy.

6. 6. In a small bowl, whisk together the buffalo sauce and melted vegan butter.

7. 7. Transfer the baked cauliflower florets to a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce mixture over them, tossing to coat evenly.

8. 8. Serve the Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Wings immediately, with your favorite dipping sauce on the side, such as ranch or blue cheese.

Notes

For an extra crispy texture, you can briefly broil the baked cauliflower florets for 2-3 minutes before tossing them in the buffalo sauce. To make these gluten-free, use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
