Description

Elevate the classic Tuna Noodle Casserole with this quick and easy modern version. Featuring a rich, creamy sauce, tender noodles, and flaky tuna, this comforting dish is sure to become a new family favorite.


Ingredients

– 12 oz egg noodles

– 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained

– 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

– 1 cup milk

– 1 cup frozen peas

– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

– 2 tbsp butter, melted

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1/2 tsp onion powder

– Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. – Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. – In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen peas, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. – Stir in the cooked egg noodles and mix well.

5. – Transfer the tuna noodle mixture to the prepared baking dish.

6. – In a small bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, and melted butter.

7. – Sprinkle the cheesy breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.

8. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

9. – Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

– For extra flavor, add sautéed onions, celery, or mushrooms to the casserole.
