Description

Elevate your Thanksgiving feast with these easy, effortless Thanksgiving Green Beans! Tender, crisp-tender green beans are sautéed in a rich, garlic-infused butter sauce and topped with toasted slivered almonds for a delightful crunch. This simple side dish is the perfect complement to your holiday turkey and all the trimmings.

Ingredients

– 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

– 3 tbsp unsalted butter

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1/8 tsp black pepper

– 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted

Instructions

1. 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes, until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.

2. 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

3. 3. Add the cooked green beans to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter. Season with salt and pepper.

4. 4. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through and the flavors have melded.

5. 5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds.

6. 6. Serve immediately as a delicious Thanksgiving side dish.

Notes

For a flavor variation, try adding a splash of lemon juice or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. These green beans also reheat well, making them a great make-ahead option.
