Description

Indulge in the bold, fragrant flavors of Thailand with these quick and easy Thai Basil Beef Rolls. Tender slices of beef, crisp vegetables, and aromatic Thai basil are wrapped in soft rice paper for a satisfying and nutritious meal or appetizer.

Ingredients

– 8 oz thinly sliced beef (such as flank steak or sirloin)

– 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves

– 1 carrot, julienned

– 1/2 cucumber, julienned

– 8 rice paper wrappers

Instructions

1. – Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper in the water for 10-15 seconds until softened.

2. – Place the wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Layer a few slices of beef, a small handful of Thai basil leaves, some julienned carrot, and cucumber in the center.

3. – Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and continue rolling tightly into a cylinder.

4. – Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 8 rolls.

5. – Serve immediately with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as nuoc cham or peanut sauce.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality, thinly sliced beef. You can also customize the fillings by adding other crisp vegetables like bean sprouts or lettuce. These rolls are best enjoyed fresh, but you can refrigerate them for up to 2 days.
