Description

These Spinach Artichoke Swirls are a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer that combines the classic flavors of spinach and artichoke dip in a flaky, golden pastry. Perfect for parties, game days, or any gathering!

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

– 8 oz cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 cup chopped fresh spinach

– 1 cup chopped marinated artichoke hearts

– 1 clove garlic, minced

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. – In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

3. – Unfold the puff pastry sheet and roll it out into a 12×12-inch square.

4. – Spread the spinach and artichoke mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.

5. – Starting from one side, tightly roll up the puff pastry into a log.

6. – Slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces and place them, cut-side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

7. – Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

8. – Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

– For a creamier filling, add an extra 2-3 oz of cream cheese.

– Substitute fresh parmesan cheese for some of the mozzarella for a more pronounced flavor.

– Try serving with a side of marinara or ranch dipping sauce.
