Description
These Spicy Bayou Deviled Eggs are an elevated take on a classic appetizer. Infused with bold Cajun spices and a creamy, tangy filling, they’re sure to be a crowd-pleasing favorite at your next gathering.
Ingredients
– 12 hard-boiled eggs
– 1/2 cup mayonnaise
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 1 tablespoon hot sauce
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives, plus more for garnish
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. – Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a medium bowl.
2. – Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, paprika, 1/4 cup of the chopped chives, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mash and stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
3. – Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
4. – Sprinkle the deviled eggs with additional paprika and chopped chives for garnish.
5. – Chill the deviled eggs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, increase the amount of hot sauce to taste. You can also experiment with different types of hot sauce to customize the flavor profile. These deviled eggs can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
