Description

These delectable Sesame Crusted Salmon Patties are a quick and easy weeknight meal that the whole family will love. Tender, flaky salmon fillets are coated in a crunchy sesame breadcrumb crust and pan-fried to golden-brown perfection. Serve them with a fresh salad or steamed veggies for a balanced and nutritious dinner.

Ingredients

– 1 lb salmon fillets, finely chopped

– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

– 1/2 cup sesame seeds

– 2 eggs, lightly beaten

– 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

– 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. 1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped salmon, panko breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, eggs, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.

2. 2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

3. 3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches if needed, add the salmon patties to the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

4. 4. Transfer the cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

5. 5. Serve the Sesame Crusted Salmon Patties hot, with a fresh salad or steamed vegetables on the side.

Notes

For a creamier texture, you can add 2 tbsp of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt to the salmon mixture. You can also bake the patties in the oven at 400°F for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, if you prefer a healthier option.
