Description

Indulge in the rich, umami flavors of this Seared Ahi Tuna With Asian Glaze recipe. Savor the tender, seared tuna coated in a sweet and tangy glaze for an unforgettable seafood experience.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ahi tuna steak

– 2 tbsp soy sauce

– 2 tbsp honey

– 1 tbsp rice vinegar

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp sesame seeds

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Pat the ahi tuna steak dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.

2. – In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.

3. – Heat a large skillet or grill pan over high heat. Add the tuna steak and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the outside is nicely browned but the center is still pink.

4. – Brush the tuna steak with the Asian glaze, coating it evenly on all sides.

5. – Remove the tuna from the heat and let it rest for 2-3 minutes.

6. – Slice the tuna and serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, use sashimi-grade ahi tuna. You can adjust the cooking time based on your preferred doneness. The glaze can also be used on other types of fish or seafood.
