Description

Tender, caramelized roasted cabbage steaks are topped with crispy bacon for a delicious and comforting main dish or side. This easy recipe comes together in just 30 minutes for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

– 1 head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch thick slices

– 3 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. – Arrange the cabbage slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Brush both sides of the cabbage with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

3. – Roast the cabbage for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender and lightly caramelized.

4. – Top the roasted cabbage steaks with the crumbled bacon and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

5. – Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

– For extra flavor, try brushing the cabbage with a bit of melted butter or drizzling with balsamic glaze before roasting.

– Leftover roasted cabbage steaks can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
