Description

Indulge in the rich, velvety texture of these vibrant Red Mashed Potatoes, a mouthwatering side dish that’s quick and easy to prepare. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a restaurant-quality side that will have your guests raving.

Ingredients

– 3 lbs red potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1 cup milk

– 6 tbsp unsalted butter

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

– 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives

Instructions

1. – Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat.

2. – Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

3. – Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

4. – Add the milk, butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

5. – Stir in the chopped chives.

6. – Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra richness, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also add shredded cheddar cheese or crumbled bacon to the mashed potatoes.
