Description

Discover the secret to making the perfect bread and butter pickles at home with this easy, 10-minute recipe. Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors in every crisp, flavorful bite.

Ingredients

– 3 lbs cucumbers, sliced into 1/4-inch thick rounds

– 1 cup white vinegar

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 2 tsp kosher salt

– 1 tsp mustard seeds

– 1/2 tsp celery seeds

– 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers.

2. – In a small saucepan, bring the vinegar, sugar, and salt to a boil, stirring until the sugar and salt are dissolved.

3. – Remove the brine from the heat and stir in the mustard seeds, celery seeds, and turmeric.

4. – Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers and stir to coat.

5. – Let the pickles cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

6. – Enjoy the bread and butter pickles as a side dish, on sandwiches, or as a tasty snack.

Notes

For best results, let the pickles chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or up to 1 week. The longer they sit, the more the flavors will develop.
