Description

Indulge in the rich, aromatic flavors of this Mussels in White Wine Garlic Sauce recipe. Tender mussels are simmered in a creamy, garlicky white wine sauce for a delectable and impressive seafood dish that’s easy to prepare.

Ingredients

– 2 lbs fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded

– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 cup dry white wine

– 1/2 cup heavy cream

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish

– Juice of 1 lemon

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Rinse the mussels under cold water, discarding any that are cracked or open and won’t close when tapped.

2. – In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

3. – Pour in the white wine and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add the mussels. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the mussels have opened up.

4. – Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. – Serve the mussels immediately in the white wine garlic sauce, garnished with additional parsley. Provide crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

– For best results, use fresh, high-quality mussels.

– Discard any mussels that do not open after cooking.

– Adjust the cooking time as needed, depending on the size of your mussels.

– Serve with a crisp white wine, such as a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
