Description

Indulge in the perfect balance of earthy matcha and sweet vanilla in this luxurious, homemade Matcha Vanilla Bean Frosting. This lush topping is the ideal complement to cakes, cupcakes, and more, adding a vibrant green hue and rich, creamy texture to your favorite desserts.

Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

– 4 cups powdered sugar

– 2 tablespoons matcha powder

– 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped

– 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

2. – Add the powdered sugar, matcha powder, and vanilla bean seeds, and beat on low speed until combined.

3. – Gradually add the heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating on medium-high speed until the frosting is smooth, creamy, and reaches your desired consistency, about 2-3 minutes.

4. – Use the Matcha Vanilla Bean Frosting to top cakes, cupcakes, or other desserts as desired.

Notes

– For a thicker frosting, use less heavy cream. For a lighter, fluffier consistency, add more cream.

– Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
