Description

Indulge in the divine taste of this heavenly Matcha Pound Cake, a perfect accompaniment to your afternoon tea. Infused with the earthy, vibrant flavor of matcha, this moist and flavorful cake is a true treat for the senses.

Ingredients

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 3 large eggs

– 1 tablespoon matcha powder

– 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. – In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.

4. – Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5. – Sift in the matcha powder and mix until well combined.

6. – Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the batter, mixing just until incorporated.

7. – Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

8. – Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. – Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

– For a more pronounced matcha flavor, increase the amount of matcha powder to 2 tablespoons.

– Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.

– Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
