Description

Indulgent homemade cookies bursting with gooey marshmallows and rich hot cocoa flavor. The perfect sweet treat for holiday baking or an indulgent snack.


Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 egg

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 cup mini marshmallows

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks


Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. – In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. – Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.

5. – Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

6. – Fold in the marshmallows and chocolate chunks.

7. – Scoop dough by the heaping tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

8. – Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.

9. – Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra decadence, drizzle the cooled cookies with melted chocolate or dust with powdered sugar. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
