Ingredients
– 8 oz. linguine or fettuccine pasta
– 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
– 1 tsp. lemon juice
– Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
3. 3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through.
4. 4. Pour in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, until thickened.
5. 5. Add the cooked pasta, parsley, and lemon juice to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
6. 6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
7. 7. Serve the Marry Me Shrimp Pasta immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half or milk instead of heavy cream. Adjust the cooking time as needed to ensure the shrimp are cooked through. Garnish with fresh lemon wedges or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
