Description

Indulge in the rich and creamy flavor of this Lobster Mac & Cheese Melt, featuring tender chunks of succulent lobster meat enveloped in a decadent, melted cheese sauce. This quick and easy recipe is the perfect comfort food for a cozy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

– 8 ounces elbow macaroni

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 2 cups whole milk

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

– 8 ounces cooked lobster meat, chopped

– 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. 2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, to create a roux.

3. 3. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

4. 4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and Gruyère cheeses until completely melted and smooth.

5. 5. Add the cooked macaroni and chopped lobster meat to the cheese sauce, stirring to combine.

6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. 7. Serve the Lobster Mac & Cheese Melt hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For a crispy topping, you can transfer the mac and cheese to a baking dish, top with additional shredded cheese, and broil for a few minutes until golden brown. This dish also reheats well, making it great for leftovers.
