Description

Indulge in the flavors of King Cake with these easy Cinnamon Rolls made with a convenient canned dough hack! A perfect Mardi Gras or weekend treat.

Ingredients

– 1 (8 oz) can crescent roll dough

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup powdered sugar

– 2-3 tablespoons milk or cream

– Purple, green, and gold sprinkles

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the perforations to seal, forming a large rectangle.

3. – In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.

4. – Brush the dough with the melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top.

5. – Tightly roll up the dough from the short side to create a log. Slice the log into 9 equal pieces.

6. – Place the rolls, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart.

7. – Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown.

8. – In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk/cream until smooth and pourable.

9. – Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and sprinkle with the colorful Mardi Gras sprinkles.

10. – Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

– For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the icing.

– Leftover rolls can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
