Description

Perfectly soft-boiled eggs with a creamy, jammy yolk—great for breakfast, salads, ramen, or as a snack. ? ?✨

Ingredients

  • ? 4 large eggs
  • ? Salt (for seasoning)
  • ? Optional: Fresh herbs or chili flakes (for serving)

Instructions

1️⃣ Boil Water:
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Make sure there is enough water to cover the eggs completely.

2️⃣ Prepare the Eggs:
Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Using a slotted spoon, carefully lower the eggs into the water.

3️⃣ Cook the Eggs:
Cook the eggs for 6-7 minutes for jammy yolks (adjust time slightly for firmer or softer yolks as desired).

4️⃣ Prepare an Ice Bath:
While the eggs are cooking, prepare a bowl of ice water.

5️⃣ Transfer Eggs to Ice Bath:
Once the cooking time is up, immediately transfer the eggs to the ice bath using a slotted spoon. This will stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel.

6️⃣ Peel the Eggs:
Let the eggs sit in the ice bath for about 5-10 minutes. Gently tap the eggs on a hard surface and peel under running water for easier shell removal.

7️⃣ Serve:
Cut the eggs in half and sprinkle with salt. Serve as is or on top of toast, salads, or grain bowls. Enjoy your delicious Jammy Eggs! ?️✨
