Description
A beautifully roasted ham with a sweet and sticky honey glaze, perfect for holiday celebrations or special gatherings. This ham is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
? Ingredients:
- ? 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8-10 lbs)
- ? 1 cup honey
- ? 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- ? 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- ? 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- ? 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ? 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- ? Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
2️⃣ Prepare Ham:
Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, making shallow cuts about 1 inch apart. This helps the glaze penetrate better.
3️⃣ Make the Glaze:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Stir until the mixture is smooth and heated through.
4️⃣ Glaze the Ham:
Brush half of the honey glaze over the scored surface of the ham. Season with salt and pepper.
5️⃣ Roast the Ham:
Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound. Baste the ham with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes, removing the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
6️⃣ Check Temperature:
The ham is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
7️⃣ Rest and Serve:
Once cooked, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving. Serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy your delicious honey-glazed ham! ?️?
