Description

Honey Garlic Shrimp Bowls are a quick and easy dinner that’s packed with flavor. Tender, juicy shrimp are coated in a delectable honey garlic sauce and served over a bed of fluffy rice and fresh, colorful vegetables for a complete and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

– 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tbsp soy sauce

– 1 tbsp rice vinegar

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– 2 cups cooked white rice

– 1 cup broccoli florets

– 1 cup sliced carrots

– 1 cup snow peas or snap peas

– 2 green onions, sliced

– Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. – In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through. Transfer the shrimp to a plate.

2. – In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant.

3. – Whisk in the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.

4. – Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the honey garlic sauce.

5. – Divide the cooked rice among serving bowls. Top with the honey garlic shrimp, broccoli, carrots, snow peas, and green onions.

6. – Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Notes

– For extra nutrition, add in other fresh veggies like bell peppers or spinach.

– You can use brown rice or quinoa instead of white rice for a healthier option.

– The honey garlic sauce can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
