Description

Indulge in the incredible aroma and juicy flavor of this classic Herb-Roasted Whole Chicken, ready in just 60 minutes for a delicious homestyle meal.

Ingredients

– 1 (4-5 lb) whole chicken

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 tablespoon dried thyme

– 1 tablespoon dried rosemary

– 1 tablespoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. 2. Pat the whole chicken dry with paper towels and place it in a roasting pan or baking dish.

3. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

4. 4. Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken, making sure to cover the entire surface.

5. 5. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the breast.

6. 6. Allow the chicken to rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try stuffing the chicken cavity with aromatics like lemon, garlic, or fresh herbs. Baste the chicken with the pan juices during roasting for an extra-crispy skin.
