Ingredients

– 8 Hawaiian rolls, split in half

– 8 slices cheddar cheese

– 4 tbsp butter, softened

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1/2 tsp onion powder

– 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. – Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.

2. – Spread the softened butter evenly on the cut sides of the Hawaiian rolls.

3. – Place the rolls butter-side down in the preheated skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

4. – Remove the rolls from the skillet and place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each roll.

5. – Place the top half of the roll back on the cheese.

6. – Return the sandwiches to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.

7. – Remove from heat, season with garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.

8. – Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, you can also brush the outside of the rolls with melted butter before grilling. Experiment with different cheese varieties like Monterey Jack or Swiss.
