Description

Sink your teeth into these tender, flavorful Guinness Gravy Meatballs! Cooked in a rich, savory gravy made with Guinness beer, these meatballs are a comforting and delicious main dish that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 cup breadcrumbs

– 1 onion, finely chopped

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup Guinness beer

– 2 cups beef broth

– 2 tablespoons flour

– 2 tablespoons butter

– Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.

2. 2. In a large skillet, brown the meatballs over medium-high heat, about 3-4 minutes per side, until they’re nicely seared. Transfer the meatballs to a plate.

3. 3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

4. 4. Slowly pour in the Guinness and beef broth, whisking to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, until thickened.

5. 5. Add the meatballs back to the skillet and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

6. 6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot, over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or your favorite sides.

Notes

For a creamier gravy, you can stir in a tablespoon or two of heavy cream at the end. The Guinness gravy can also be made in advance and reheated when ready to serve.
