– 2 cups granulated sugar

– 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 2 teaspoons baking soda

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup Guinness stout

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

3. – In a separate bowl, whisk together the Guinness, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla.

4. – Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

5. – Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6. – Allow the cake to cool completely.

7. – In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and Baileys, beating until smooth and creamy.

8. – Spread the Baileys Frosting over the cooled cake. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. The Guinness gives the cake a rich, moist texture, while the Baileys Frosting adds a delightful Irish twist. Store any leftover cake in the refrigerator.
