Description

Indulge in the irresistible crispy, golden-fried exterior and creamy, tangy feta filling of these Fried Feta Rolls, drizzled with a sweet and spicy chili honey sauce. A quick and easy appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

– 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled

– 10 sheets phyllo dough

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/2 cup honey

– 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce (or other chili sauce of your choice)

– 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. – In a small bowl, mix together the crumbled feta cheese.

3. – Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean, flat surface and brush it lightly with melted butter. Place a second sheet of phyllo on top and brush with more butter.

4. – Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the feta mixture onto the bottom third of the phyllo sheets. Fold the bottom edge over the filling, then fold in the sides and continue rolling up tightly into a cylinder.

5. – Place the rolled feta rolls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. – Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and feta filling.

7. – Bake the feta rolls for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

8. – In a small saucepan, heat the honey and chili garlic sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until well combined and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.

9. – Drizzle the warm chili honey sauce over the baked feta rolls and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired.

10. – Serve the Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey warm, and enjoy!

Notes

– For a crispier texture, fry the feta rolls in hot oil instead of baking.

– Adjust the amount of chili sauce to control the spice level of the honey drizzle.
