Description

Indulge in the savory flavors of French Dip in a quick and easy square format! These Irresistible French Dip Squares are perfect for a family-friendly meal or game day appetizer.


Ingredients

– 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef

– 8 slices provolone cheese

– 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, split in half

– 2 tbsp butter, melted

– 1 tsp dried oregano

– 1/2 tsp garlic powder

– 1/4 tsp onion powder

– 1 cup beef broth (for dipping)


Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. – Arrange the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls in a greased 9×13 baking dish.

3. – Top each roll bottom with a slice of roast beef and a slice of provolone cheese.

4. – Replace the top halves of the rolls.

5. – In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush the mixture over the top of the rolls.

6. – Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.

7. – Serve the French Dip Squares warm with the beef broth for dipping.

Notes

For added flavor, try using a combination of provolone and Swiss cheese. You can also add sautéed onions or mushrooms to the filling. These squares are best enjoyed immediately, but any leftovers can be reheated in the oven.
