Ingredients
– 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 cup boiling water
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
– 4 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round baking pan.
2. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and boiling water until smooth. Set aside to cool.
3. 3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
