Description

Soft, fluffy Dinner Rolls that come together in just 20 minutes – the perfect homemade bread for any meal! These beginner-friendly rolls are golden-brown on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside.

Ingredients

– 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

– 1 cup warm milk

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

Instructions

1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

2. 2. Add the melted butter and salt, then gradually stir in the flour until a shaggy dough forms.

3. 3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. 4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 15 minutes.

5. 5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a smooth ball.

6. 6. Place the rolls in a greased 9×13 baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

7. 7. Cover and let rise for another 10 minutes.

8. 8. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

9. 9. Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

10. 10. Serve warm with butter.

Notes

For a softer, fluffier texture, allow the dough to rise for an additional 30 minutes before shaping. Experiment with different mix-ins like herbs, cheese, or garlic for flavor variations.
