Description

Crockpot Thai Basil Beef is a delicious and easy-to-make slow cooker dish that combines tender beef with a flavorful Thai-inspired sauce. The beef simmers in the savory sauce for hours, resulting in a mouthwatering and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

– 2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1/4 cup fish sauce

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon grated ginger

– 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

– 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves, chopped

– 2 cups cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

1. 1. In a slow cooker, combine the beef, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir to coat the beef.

2. 2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is very tender.

3. 3. Stir in the chopped Thai basil leaves and serve the Crockpot Thai Basil Beef over cooked white rice.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated for an easy weeknight meal. It also freezes well for future use. For a spicier version, add more red pepper flakes.
