Description

This Crockpot Green Bean Casserole is a comforting and delicious side dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights or holiday gatherings. With tender green beans, a rich and creamy mushroom sauce, and a crispy topping of fried onions, it’s a family-favorite that comes together quickly and easily in the slow cooker.

Ingredients

– 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces

– 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 tbsp soy sauce

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

– 1 (2.8 oz) can French fried onions

Instructions

1. – Add the trimmed and cut green beans to a 4-6 quart crockpot.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until well combined.

3. – Pour the soup mixture over the green beans in the crockpot and stir to coat the beans.

4. – Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until the beans are tender.

5. – Once the casserole is cooked, sprinkle the top with the French fried onions.

6. – Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

– For a richer, creamier casserole, use heavy cream instead of milk.

– Add a sprinkle of garlic powder or onion powder to the soup mixture for extra flavor.

– Swap out the green beans for other vegetables like broccoli or cauliflower.
