Description

Indulge in this creamy, cheesy Queso Rice dish, elevated with tender, juicy steak strips. A quick and easy meal that’s bursting with flavor!

Ingredients

– 1 cup long-grain white rice

– 2 cups milk

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into thin strips

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Cook the rice according to package instructions.

2. – In a saucepan, combine the milk, cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese. Heat over medium, stirring frequently, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.

3. – Season the steak strips with garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

4. – In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat. Add the steak strips and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.

5. – Add the cooked rice to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.

6. – Serve the Creamy Queso Rice topped with the Juicy Steak Strips. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding chopped fresh cilantro or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top. The steak can also be substituted with chicken or shrimp.
