– 1 tsp cumin
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 8 small burger buns or slider rolls
– 8 slices cheddar cheese
– 1/2 cup pickled jalapeño slices
Instructions
1. – In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
2. – Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small, 2-inch patties.
3. – Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
4. – Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
5. – Assemble the sliders by placing a cheesy beef patty on each bun and topping with pickled jalapeño slices.
6. – Serve the Cowboy Sliders warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, brush the buns with melted butter or garlic butter before toasting. You can also add other Southwestern toppings like diced onion, guacamole, or spicy mayo.
