Description

Indulge in the divine flavors of this Classic Quiche Lorraine, a timeless French dish that’s perfect for any meal. The buttery, flaky crust perfectly complements the rich, creamy custard filling, which is studded with crispy bacon pieces.

Ingredients

– 1 pre-made pie crust

– 6 large eggs

– 2 cups heavy cream

– 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

– 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 1/2 cup diced onion

– 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. – Roll out the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp the edges to create a decorative border.

3. – In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well combined.

4. – Stir in the Swiss cheese, crumbled bacon, diced onion, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

5. – Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

6. – Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

7. – Allow the quiche to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a flakier crust, you can blind bake the pie crust for 10-15 minutes before adding the filling. Leftover quiche can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
