Ingredients
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
2. – In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar until smooth and creamy.
3. – Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
4. – In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, melted butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon until a dough forms.
5. – Press half of the dough into the prepared baking pan.
6. – Spread the cheesecake mixture over the dough.
7. – Crumble the remaining dough over the top of the cheesecake layer.
8. – Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
9. – Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
– For an extra churro flavor, sprinkle the baked bars with additional cinnamon sugar.
