Description

Homemade Christmas Cranberry Sauce is a classic, tangy-sweet side dish that’s a must-have for your holiday feast. This easy recipe comes together in just 10 minutes and features a vibrant, ruby-red color and a delightful texture with whole cranberries.

Ingredients

– 12 oz fresh cranberries

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup water

– 1 tbsp orange zest

– 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

1. – In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water.

2. – Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

3. – Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 8-10 minutes, until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.

4. – Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest and cinnamon stick.

5. – Allow the sauce to cool completely before serving.

Notes

– For a thinner consistency, add more water.

– For a chunkier texture, don’t fully mash the cranberries.

– Refrigerate leftover cranberry sauce in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
