Description

These Christmas Cranberry and Brie Filo Crackers are a delightful and easy-to-make holiday appetizer. Flaky filo dough is filled with creamy brie and tangy cranberries, creating a flavor explosion in every bite.

Ingredients

– 12 sheets filo dough

– 8 oz brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

– 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

– 2 tbsp brown sugar

– 1 tsp cinnamon

– 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. Lay one sheet of filo dough on a clean surface and brush with melted butter. Top with another sheet of filo and brush with butter. Repeat with 2 more sheets of filo, for a total of 4 layers.

3. 3. Cut the filo stack into 6 equal rectangles. Place a brie cube and 1-2 cranberries in the center of each rectangle.

4. 4. Fold the filo dough over the filling, creating a triangle shape. Brush the top with more melted butter.

5. 5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the filo is golden brown and crispy.

6. 6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the warm crackers.

7. 7. Serve the Christmas Cranberry and Brie Filo Crackers warm, garnished with additional fresh cranberries if desired.

Notes

These crackers can be made ahead and frozen before baking. Simply bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time. Enjoy these festive treats with a glass of wine or champagne for the ultimate holiday experience.
