Description

Indulge in the ultimate breakfast treat with this decadent Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake. Layers of buttery, flaky croissants are combined with rich chocolate chips and a creamy custard-like filling for a truly irresistible morning dish.

Ingredients

– 6 croissants, cut into 1-inch pieces

– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

– 6 large eggs

– 2 cups whole milk

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. 2. Arrange the croissant pieces in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top.

3. 3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

4. 4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant and chocolate chip mixture, ensuring all the pieces are submerged.

5. 5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

6. 6. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semisweet. You can also experiment with different types of chocolate, such as milk chocolate or white chocolate. Serve warm, with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired.
