Description

Elevate your cooking with this easy-to-make Chicken Bouillon Powder. This versatile seasoning blend adds rich, savory flavor to soups, stews, sauces, and more. Packed with umami-rich ingredients, it’s a must-have for any home cook’s pantry.

Ingredients

– 2 lb chicken bones (or 2 whole chickens, cut into parts)

– 1 onion, quartered

– 2 carrots, peeled and chopped

– 2 celery stalks, chopped

– 3 garlic cloves, peeled

– 1 bay leaf

– 1 tsp black peppercorns

– 1 tsp dried thyme

– 1 tsp dried parsley

– 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. 2. Arrange the chicken bones, onion, carrots, celery, and garlic on a large baking sheet. Roast for 45-60 minutes, until the bones are golden brown and the vegetables are caramelized.

3. 3. Remove the roasted ingredients from the oven and let cool slightly.

4. 4. In a food processor or blender, combine the roasted chicken bones, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaf, peppercorns, thyme, parsley, and salt. Blend until a fine powder forms.

5. 5. Store the Chicken Bouillon Powder in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

Notes

– Use this Chicken Bouillon Powder to enhance the flavor of soups, stews, sauces, rice dishes, and more.

– Start with 1-2 teaspoons per cup of liquid and adjust to taste.

– For a richer flavor, you can roast the bones and vegetables for longer, or add a splash of white wine or sherry to the mixture during blending.
