Description

Caramelized pear and creamy goat cheese crostini are an elegant and delightful appetizer. The sweet, caramelized pears pair perfectly with the tangy goat cheese, all topped with fragrant rosemary.

Ingredients

– 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds

– 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

– 4 oz goat cheese, softened

– 2 tbsp honey

– 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped

– 1 tbsp unsalted butter

– 1 tbsp brown sugar

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 5-7 minutes until lightly golden.

2. – In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pear slices and brown sugar. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pears are caramelized.

3. – Spread a layer of goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice. Top with a piece of caramelized pear.

4. – Sprinkle the chopped rosemary over the crostini.

5. – Drizzle with honey and season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. – Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use ripe but firm pears. You can also add a sprinkle of toasted nuts like pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
