Description

Indulge in the festive and fiery flavors of Candy Cane Fireball Hard Candy, a homemade treat that combines the cool peppermint of candy canes with the spicy kick of Fireball whisky. This easy-to-make hard candy is perfect for the holiday season, whether as a delightful snack or a thoughtful gift.

Ingredients

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup light corn syrup

– 1/4 cup water

– 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

– 2 tablespoons Fireball whisky

– 3-4 drops red food coloring

Instructions

1. 1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it lightly.

2. 2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.

3. 3. Remove the pan from the heat and carefully stir in the peppermint extract, Fireball whisky, and red food coloring. Mix well until the color is evenly distributed.

4. 4. Quickly pour the hot candy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it into an even layer.

5. 5. Allow the candy to cool completely, then break or cut it into desired shapes and sizes.

6. 6. Store the Candy Cane Fireball Hard Candy in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For a more intense peppermint flavor, you can add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract. For a less fiery candy, reduce the amount of Fireball whisky to 1 tablespoon.
